Nice location and view, also several special activities included in the price (i.e. boat trip, mountain hiking)
Generally this is a clean hotel with a great location being close to the beach, the town centre and the mountain resorts. The hotel is to recommend if you to explore the sourroundings.
The rooms are more on the small side and there was a bad smell of old water in the hallway for several days. Although we prefer firm beds rather than soft ones, our bed was extremely hard and reminded us of laying wooden beams. Although the hotel restaurant has good reviews, the food at the hotel bar unfortunately was not to our taste (blend and uneventfull) is not recommendable.
Good location on the beach and helpful staff.
It is a family run hotel situated on a beautiful beach, within walking distance of all the amenitities. The promenade gives one the opportunity to walk leisurely, or jog, cycle as you wish. All the staff are very helpful, friendly, and speak at least two languages. My wife was in a wheelchair for outside walks, although able to move around the interior on crutches, and every door was opened for us by attentive staff. Highly recommend hotel for all ages.
Roses is a delightful beach town and Terraza is in a perfect location right on the boardwalk with its own protected grass area for sun-bathing and beach access. Easy parking, nice pool, good restaurants and all the amenities anyone would want. A great find.
200 kms to Roses. Again another very hot days driving but lovely scenery. We arrived at Hotel Terraza in Roses about 1530. Friendly reception and our open-top car was quickly put away in an underground car park. Our room was facing the sea and had a good balcony. The room was just adequate in size and it had AirCon. There was a smell of stale tobacco smoke. The TV had two BBC channels which was a plus. The weather was hot but there was a gale force wind blowing which did not seem to put off the many beach goers. The hotel has its own sunbed area on the beach and we were lucky to find a sheltered spot under a tree for a couple of hours relaxing which we needed. Roses is a very busy, noisy and brash seaside resort. Quite a contrast from the quiet reserve of the Pyrenees. There is a promenade along the seafront, both ways, for as long as the eye can see, which is a great asset to any seaside resort. The promenade is full of walkers, runners, cyclists, hawkers, rollerbladers, pushchairs and kids on scooters. Free WiFi was promised but I could not get it working. After twenty minutes or so assuming it was my fault I asked at reception and was told that their " connection failed". How long for, I wondered. It came on again about four hours later. We thought we would try the hotel dinner this evening, and we decided on the bar menu instead of the full restaurant menu. We both had an excellent Dublin Bay prawn salad starter with a nicely cooked and tender T-bone steak. Day 5 We stayed two nights at the Terraza. The buffet Breakfast was excellent. Eating outside on the terrace means you are out with the smokers. Not pleasant. A chill-out day on the sunbeds near the beach. One criticism is that there is insufficient shade for people like me who don't like to sit out in the full glare of the sun. That's also the case on the fifth floor pool and jacuzzi. Sangria and paella for dinner just down the promenade about a hundred metres or so.
